Natascha Engel is Chief Executive of cross-party think tank Policy Connect. Natascha was Member of Parliament for North East Derbyshire for 12 years (2005-2017) in which time she chaired the Backbench Business Select Committee and was Deputy Speaker of Parliament. As an ex-coal mining area, Natascha’s constituency interests meant specialising in manufacturing and energy, interests which she later pursued as a BEIS Commissioner and then as a partner at policy and public opinion agency, Public First. Natascha’s particular interest is in the energy transition, climate change and the importance of understanding public opinion better.
